We believe in transparency and clarity when it comes to money—especially during times of grief. This Refund Policy outlines the terms under which payments for memberships are handled.

We offer free resources and paid memberships.
Only paid memberships include access to claim submissions, counseling services, and memorial printing support.
All paid membership fees are:
• Billed monthly
• Non-refundable, including for partial months, unused time, or canceled subscriptions
Note:
Because the funds we collect go directly toward supporting members in times of crisis (including potential payouts, counseling, and printed services), we are unable to offer refunds once a payment has been processed.
You may cancel your paid membership at any time from your account dashboard.
Once canceled:
• You will retain access to your paid benefits through the end of your current billing cycle.
• You will not be charged again, unless you manually restart your paid membership.
If you cancel and wish to rejoin later, you may do so at any time — but your claim eligibility will reset according to your new membership start date.
We do not offer refunds except in the event of:
• Duplicate charges caused by a system error
• Fraudulent transactions proven through documentation
• Account compromises not caused by user negligence
If you believe you qualify for an exception, please email us at support@deadserious.living with your full name, transaction ID, and a brief explanation.
We review these requests case-by-case and will respond within 5–7 business days.
Grief counseling and memorial printing services are available only after a support claim has been submitted and approved. When submitting a claim, you can choose to opt in to receive these services or pay it forward, allowing the funds to remain in the community pool to help others.
These services are provided as digital gift cards through partner organizations and can be used at any time—there is no cash payout option. Gift cards remain valid according to the individual terms of the card or service provider, and the benefits are intended to directly support counseling and memorial needs.
While Dead Serious does not offer refunds for prior contributions, members who maintain active accounts for 10 years without filing a claim, qualify for an increased payout benefit under the Ride-or-Die Reward program. This increase is not redeemable as cash or credit during the member’s lifetime and is solely applicable to future qualifying claims under our Terms of Use.
