Let’s walk through how a membership works in real life.

Dennis signs up for the Sanctuary Membership at $35/month.

As part of his plan, Dennis can invite up to 2 adult group members and list any minor children (under 21) in his household. There’s no additional cost for these group members.

Dennis invites:

  • His wife
  • His brother
  • And lists his three children as minors (they’re covered, but don’t gain access to the platform)

Each of the three adults receives an email with a link to create their personal account and access the platform.

Now all three adults and three children are officially part of Dennis’ group — and covered under his membership.

What They Can Do Right Away:

Every adult in Dennis’ group can now start planning ahead with:

  • Last Will & Testament template
  • Legacy Planner to store legal, medical, and personal information
  • Digital Vault to upload voice memos, videos, letters, photos, and more — anything they want to preserve or pass down
  • Printable funeral & memorial planning resources

Each person gets a private space to create their legacy – their way. No pressure. No judgment.

What Happens When Someone Passes:

One year later, Dennis’ brother unexpectedly passes away.

Since he’s a registered group member, any of the surviving group members can:

  1. Submit a claim to access the $4,000 payout
  2. Unlock the Digital Vault that Dennis’ brother created
  3. Unlock $400 worth of grief counseling sessions (group or individual)
  4. Access up to $100 in memorial printing support

Because Dennis’s plan includes one $4,000 payout per year, another claim would become available the following year if another group member passes.

Important Timing Note:

To keep things fair and timely for all members, payout claims must be submitted within 14 days of the group member’s passing.

We’re here to help when everything moves fast — but we can’t honor claims for losses that occurred more than 14 days before submission, or before the coverage period began.

To be eligible, a claim must:

  • Be submitted within 14 days of the date of death
  • Include valid documentation (like a death certificate or medical confirmation)
  • Be submitted while the membership is active and in good standing

We understand how overwhelming this time can be. Our team is here to support you through the process with care, clarity, and zero red tape.

Additional Notes:

If a Group Member Passes:

  • The membership continues uninterrupted.
  • All remaining members, including minors, retain coverage under the Primary Member’s plan.

If the Primary Member Passes:

  • One of the adult group members can take over the membership as the new Primary and continue coverage.
  • Or, they can choose to end the service, which will result in the loss of access to the platform and benefits for the entire group.
